Technical properties of rigid polyurethane insulation

Polyurethane rigid insulation was developed in 1957.

The properties of the insulation materials depend on their structure, the raw materials used and the manufacturing process.

Polyurethane rigid foam is characterised by a high crosslinking density, necessary to obtain critical properties such as good heat stability, high compression strength at low density and good insulation properties.

More detailed data on Polyurethane properties can be found in the report “thermal insulation materials made of rigid polyurethane foam.
